Endowment Recently, the St. Stephen's board of trustees established a general school endowment fund and a financial aid endowment fund. Endowment will be critical to the success of current and future programs at St. Stephen's . An endowment fund supporting financial aid will encourage more diversity and allow the School to attract outstanding students of merit, regardless of their financial situation. A general, or unrestricted endowment fund will support our program by providing higher levels of support for program development and enhancements as well as provide long-term resources for greater flexibility for the school to meet unexpected challenges. The objective in increasing our endowment is to ensure the viability and continued quality of the School’s programs. A gift to the endowment not only makes a difference in the lives of today’s students; it will continue to make a difference in perpetuity, touching the lives of hundreds of students and faculty and staff members to come. Donors and their friends and relatives, and others with similar interests, may add to these endowment funds or create new ones. Expressing personal affection for the School, or honoring or memorializing a family member or friend, contributions can take the form of outright gifts, bequests and various other deferred gifts. Eventually, endowment growth will support many things in perpetuity for the School: the needs of students, faculty and staff development, a strong academic program, and a beautiful facility. Each donor will continue to build on St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School’s investment in the future.
