Extending Our Community St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School is a parish school and a primary outreach of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. The School is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence and to the joy of learning and self-discovery in an atmosphere of Christian caring and support. St. Stephen's is a close-knit community, and this cooperative spirit extends beyond the students, to encompass all members of our extended “family”- faculty and staff, parents and alumni. Since the founding of St. Stephen's over forty-five years ago, many have embraced the challenge established long ago: to contribute time, talent, energy, imagination, and the resources necessary to keep St. Stephen's a thriving, innovative leader in education in our community. This ongoing commitment and generosity has made St. Stephen's the strong and vital institution we are today. As an independent school, St. Stephen's relies on the volunteer and financial support of its community to maintain our position as a leader in elementary education. A good definition of development is the “meaningful involvement of people in our mission and vision for the future.” We create meaningful opportunities for people to become involved with the St. Stephen's mission and vision and encourage everyone’s participation. The mission must be shared. With continued philanthropic and volunteer support, St. Stephen's will continue to build solid foundations for student success by delivering an outstanding quality of education for generations to come.
