January and February Update

In January our tour guide, Mr. Eriksen took us to Ireland. We got to wear little leprechaun hats and eat Irish cookies while looking at pictures of castles, golf courses and the beautiful country side of Ireland. Thanks Mr. Eriksen!

We started off the month of February with a bake sale to raise money for our community service project. We also have started to practice for our class play. In March after our class play, we will visit East Ridge Retirement Center to present the songs from our play for the residents. The money from the bake sale will be used to purchase items for the adult activity center. We also made festive valentines for the residents there.

We got to enjoy a tour of France with Ms.D’Alemberte and Mrs. Seguin. We enjoyed their power point presentation along with delicious éclairs. For our tour bag they gave us miniature Eiffel Tower key chains to remember our visit! Merci!!

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day party with the talented, Mrs. Arevalo! The girls got to make little valentine mailboxes and the boys made airplanes. We also made bookmarks. We enjoyed cupcakes, cookies, and juice. We took our loot home along with our valentine boxes full of cards and candy!!!

We had a tour of Spain with Mrs. Olloqui as our tour guide. We loved learning about España. We enjoyed having a traditional tortilla and some Spanish chocolate. For our souvenir bag, the girls received beautiful fans and the boys got adorable little bulls. Muchas Gracias!!

Next we toured Venezuela with Mr. and Mrs. Sosa and Mrs. Bohorquez. We saw so many beautiful sites through their power point presentation and enjoyed some music as well. Everyone liked the tequeños. We had fun making dolls to represent the Venezuelan flag. We love our magnets that we got for our souvenir bag. Gracias!!
